Job summary

Farm Boy Inc. in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a dedicated team member to deliver outstanding customer service and help keep our department looking its best.

You will contribute to the welcoming, fresh shopping experience Farm Boy is known for by ensuring superb product presentation, friendly assistance, and accurate signage. We value independence and teamwork alike: you will stock, rotate merchandise, maintain clean work areas, and follow health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for delivering engaging and exceptional customer service.
• Retail experience is an asset; an equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
• The ability to work independently with attention to detail and pride in delivering quality results and maintaining cleanliness standards.
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach supported by strong communication and organizational skills.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on setting that involves multiple deadlines, extended periods of standing, heavy lifting, and work that may be performed in cooler, freezer, and outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work a dynamic schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Fluency in English; French language skills considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and engaging customer service that reflects Farm Boy's commitment to the best fresh shopping experience.
• Welcome, greet, and assist customers using Farm Boy Service Standards while sharing your knowledge and enthusiasm for our products.
• Package, stock, and rotate merchandise on display counters and shelves, ensuring high-quality presentation and accurate signage.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work and storage areas through general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Follow all corporate policies and procedures, with a strong focus on Health & Safety, Food Safety, and proper equipment use.
• Complete designated opening and closing procedures and support fellow Team Members as needed.
• Support the team with additional duties on a periodic basis.
