Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies - Canada in Kelowna, BC, is seeking a Customer Service Representative to build relationships with customers, handle inside sales activities, and provide expert assistance to resolve parts and solutions during equipment breakdowns.

The successful candidate will support the outside sales force, process orders accurately, and maintain knowledge of service offerings; 2+ years in industrial sales preferred, SAP experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years of Industrial or Fluid Power components sales experience.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and desire to succeed.
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Analytical and problem-solving capability.

Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Customer Service Representative at our Kelowna, British Columbia location.

In this role, you will provide our customers with expert assistance to a wide variety of questions and problems. Unlike most CSR roles, you will build ongoing business relationships with our customers through repeated contact and consultation. As this is a service and parts center, our ability to get customers’ business often depends on your ability to quickly and efficiently provide them with the right parts and/or solutions – especially when customers are experiencing costly equipment breakdowns. You may also occasionally have hands‑on duties that will require mechanical aptitude.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For

Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications

• 2 or more years of Industrial or Fluid Power components sales experience
• Self‑motivated
• Enthusiastic and exhibits a positive attitude and desire to succeed
• Interest in customer satisfaction and desire to provide excellent service always
• Ability to multitask in a busy office environment while maintaining professionalism at all times
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• Analytical and problem-solving capability
• Computer literacy with focus on Outlook, Word, Excel, etc
• SAP experience would be an asset
