EB Horsman & Son is seeking a Customer Service - Counter Sales professional in Courtenay, BC. This role focuses on excellent customer service, interpreting needs, quoting products, and supporting shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks in a full-time capacity on a Monday–Friday schedule.

Located in Courtenay, this position emphasizes accuracy, teamwork, and reliable communication while leveraging MS Office and internal systems to assist customers and drive sales.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of customer service experience is an asset.
• Previous warehouse experience, including shipping/receiving, is an asset.
• Basic mathematical skills are expected.

• High school completion required.

Located at 2615 Moray Pl, Courtenay, BC V9N 8A9, this full-time position offers a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule, ensuring 40 hours per week with no weekend shifts.

Why this role matters

The Customer Service - Counter Sales role acts as the primary point of contact for incoming branch customers. They will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by interpreting customer needs, troubleshooting issues, ensuring order accuracy, and recommending products and solutions. Duties could also include order assembly, packing & shipping, receiving, stock keeping, warehouse maintenance, and customer/sales support, including operating equipment, managing inventory, processing shipments, and assisting with priority orders and customer inquiries.

• Strong communicator. You will communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with customers and colleagues.
• Highly organized. You will manage a high volume of customer requests, adjust priorities, and work effectively through interruptions.
• Comfortable with technology. You will use phones, computers, and internal systems to assist customers and complete daily tasks.
• Comfortable with warehouse responsibilities. You will support order assembly, packing and shipping, receiving, stock keeping, warehouse maintenance, inventory management, and customer and sales support.
• 1+ years of customer service experience is an asset
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, is an asset
• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office & the ability to learn new software programs
• Basic mathematical skills
• A wide range of expertise in the products and services provided by E.B. Horsman & Son is an asset
