The role follows a Monday-to-Friday, 40-hour schedule with no weekend shifts, focusing on accurate orders, customer care, and product recommendations.

Successful candidates will have 1+ years of customer service, solid MS Office skills, and basic math ability.

• 1+ years of customer service experience is an asset.
• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software programs.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to be inclusive, collaborative, and respectful.
• High school completion.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for incoming branch customers and providing excellent customer service.
• Interpret customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure order accuracy.
• Recommend products and solutions and assist with order assembly, packing, shipping, receiving, and stock keeping.
• Support warehouse activities and inventory management, including handling shipments and priority orders.

Located at 5203 24 St, Vernon, BC V1T 8X7, this full-time position offers a consistent Monday-to-Friday schedule, ensuring 40 hours per week with no weekend shifts.

Why this role matters

The Customer Service - Counter Sales role acts as the primary point of contact for incoming branch customers. They will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by interpreting customer needs, troubleshooting issues, ensuring order accuracy, and recommending products and solutions. Duties could also include order assembly, packing & shipping, receiving, stock keeping, warehouse maintenance, and customer/sales support, including operating equipment, managing inventory, processing shipments, and assisting with priority orders and customer inquiries.

• Customer service oriented. You will provide excellent customer service while maintaining and building customer relationships through product quotations and sales.

• Strong communicator. You will communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, with customers and colleagues.
• Highly organized. You will manage a high volume of customer requests, adjust priorities, and work effectively through interruptions.
• Comfortable with technology. You will use phones, computers, and internal systems to assist customers and complete daily tasks.
• Comfortable with warehouse responsibilities. You will support order assembly, packing and shipping, receiving, stock keeping, warehouse maintenance, inventory management, and customer and sales support.
• 1+ years of customer service experience is an asset
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, including shipping/receiving, is an asset
• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office & the ability to learn new software programs
• Basic mathematical skills
