Job summary

Cole International is seeking a Customer Onboarding Specialist in Toronto to guide new clients through account setup, documentation, training, and implementation. You will partner with Global Trade and Logistics Specialists and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to service.

Ideal candidates have a university degree or college diploma, experience in onboarding or customer success, strong Excel/Outlook/Word, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

  • University degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination.
  • Experience in client onboarding, account coordination, customer success, or related role; customs brokerage or logistics preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Experience working with CRM systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail; manage multiple clients/priorities.
  • Solution-focused problem solving.
  • Adaptable and organized in fast-paced environments.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, accountability, dependability.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and follow through on commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare legal documentation per CBSA requirements.
  • Guide new clients through onboarding, documentation, and processes.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients during onboarding.
  • Provide training, resources, and support to help clients understand Cole’s services.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Accounting and internal teams to deliver materials on time.
  • Support Global Trade and Logistics Specialists with post-sale activities.
  • Track onboarding progress and ensure milestones stay on schedule.
  • Maintain onboarding records in CRM and other systems.
  • Identify issues and coordinate solutions for smooth handoffs.
  • Build positive client experiences to foster long-term partnerships.
  • Share feedback to improve onboarding processes.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring
  • A university degree, college diploma, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in client onboarding, account coordination, customer success, or a related role; experience in customs brokerage or logistics is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience working with CRM systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
