Job summary

Air Canada is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist at the Toronto Pearson airport. You will directly interact with customers, helping flights depart on time and assisting travelers at every step of their journey.

You will check in passengers, issue boarding passes, provide schedule information, assist with special needs, and move across the airport to support operations. Training is provided; strong English skills and multilingual capabilities are valued.

Qualifications

  • Availability to attend and successfully complete a paid five-to-seven-week full-time training program.
  • Availability to work rotating shifts over a 24-hour period (including weekends and holidays).
  • Ability to walk long distances or stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and provide wheelchair service to mobility-impaired customers.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines to ensure punctuality.
  • Ability to comply with Air Canada attendance and dress code standards.
  • Experience in customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong ability to solve problems and find solutions, in accordance with Air Canada policies and guidelines.
  • Attention to safety and security.
  • Obligation to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearance, as well as additional authorizations.

The position

Air Canada is currently looking for Customer Experience Specialists to join its team at the Toronto airport. In this role, you will be in direct contact with our customers. You will play an important role in ensuring that all our flights are ready to depart on time safely, and in assisting customers at the airport, at every moment of customer interaction during their journey.

What will your day look like?

As a Customer Experience Specialist at the Toronto airport, you will be part of a dynamic and diverse team composed of welcome agents and Air Canada representatives. You must contribute to the smooth running of the customer experience:

  • Check in customers, and prepare and issue boarding passes.
  • Help customers during pre-boarding and provide information on flight schedules and connections.
  • Assist customers with special needs during their journey and ensure they get to their boarding gate and baggage claim on time and safely.

Language requirements

The candidate must master English as well as one or more of the following languages: French, German or Greek. Great importance will also be given to candidates with a good working knowledge of at least one of the following languages: Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, Arabic, Hebrew, Portuguese, Hindi or Punjabi.
