Job summary

Atlas Tools & Machinery in Islington Showroom is seeking Sales Associates who deliver outstanding customer service. You will engage with customers, listen to needs, and provide tailored product recommendations to drive sales.

The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of retail experience with power tools, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years retail sales experience with power tools or similar.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Analytical ability to extract insights from data and reports to inform decisions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Identify the customer's needs by listening, asking thoughtful questions, and making recommendations.
• Provide expert product knowledge and guide customers toward informed choices.
• Drive sales through customer engagement, suggestive selling and product expertise.
• Direct customers with unique or specialized needs to the Industrial Sales Team for additional solutions.
• Participate in product training sessions and stay updated on product knowledge.
• Ensure customers receive accurate information regarding warranties and related questions.
• Stay informed on promotions, including flyers, promotions and seasonal events.
• Maintain a tidy, organized and fully merchandised department and sales floor with priced products.
• Follow merchandising standards and guidelines for product placement and displays.
• Assist with inventory management and stock levels, organizing merchandise promptly.
• Proactively manage stock and ensure availability by ordering from the warehouse.
• Support in other showroom areas as required to meet team needs.
