Role Description

The Customer Assistant is a contract, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, supporting customers throughout their moving and logistics experience. This role involves greeting and assisting customers in person and by phone, answering inquiries about services, scheduling, and pricing, and guiding customers through booking and dashboard features. The Customer Assistant will handle order entries, update customer records, coordinate with moving crews and operations staff, and monitor stock levels for packing materials. Daily tasks include resolving service issues, processing payments and documentation, promoting relevant services and offers, and ensuring a clean, organized, and welcoming customer area. The role requires consistent collaboration with team members to maintain reliable service standards and positive customer experiences.

Qualifications
  • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on empathy, problem-solving, and a positive service mindset.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and active listening.
  • Sales and service promotion abilities, with experience suggesting appropriate services and offers based on customer needs.
  • Stock Control skills for managing packing materials and supplies, including basic inventory tracking and replenishment.
  • Training capabilities to support onboarding of new team members and help customers understand digital tools and processes.
  • Previous experience in retail, logistics, moving services, or a similar customer-facing environment is beneficial.
  • Comfort using computers, web-based dashboards, and point-of-sale or booking systems.
  • Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple customer requests in a fast-paced setting.
  • Availability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, with flexibility for peak periods and varying shifts.
