Job summary

Octasic Inc. is seeking a Buyer, Custom Products in Montreal to coordinate procurement for PCBs, PCBAs, cables, and mechanical parts.

You will manage supplier selection, quotes, POs, and CTB reporting to ensure material availability, quality, and on-time delivery for production. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain, you will partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Finance to optimize costs, lead times, and supplier performance while driving continuous improvement in a high-tech

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience purchasing custom-made products and components.
• Experience with integrated ERP/MRP systems.
• Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken).
• Strong attention to detail and excellent teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Solicit, analyze, and compare supplier quotations to secure the best commercial terms.
• Issue, manage, and follow up on purchase orders.
• Plan and coordinate orders for electronic assemblies (PCBAs) with subcontractors based on production requirements and demand forecasts.
• Manage and maintain the CTB report for electronic components.
• Participate in the ECN/ECO process and coordinate changes with suppliers and internal teams.
• Monitor supplier performance with respect to delivery, quality, and cost.
• Participate in negotiation and management of commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Finance teams to resolve supply-related issues.
• Identify, develop, and implement cost-reduction opportunities and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Participate in supplier selection and management of strategic suppliers for custom products and components.
• Perform other related duties aligned with the organization’s objectives.
