Job summary

Faspac in Canada is seeking a Buyer/Procurement Specialist to manage the procurement of raw materials for flexible packaging and to optimize costs across the supply chain. You will negotiate with suppliers, ensure material availability, and collaborate with planning, production, quality, sales, and logistics teams.

Ideal candidates have at least 5 years in buying, strong Excel and ERP skills, and fluency in French and English to communicate with local and international suppliers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.
• At least 5 years of experience as a buyer or procurement specialist.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement process for raw materials.
• Negotiate prices, delivery times, and terms with suppliers.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships and identify new sources.
• Track orders and deliveries to avoid stockouts.
• Collaborate with planning, production, quality, sales, and logistics teams.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, service and lead times.
• Assist in qualifying new suppliers and materials with relevant teams.
• Manage inventory levels and anticipate medium-term needs.
