University of Ottawa is hiring Teaching Assistants for CHM1721 (Chimie organique I) to work on campus at the Main Campus. You will prepare and lead discussion groups, supervise quizzes and exams, and support students during the winter semester.
The role requires substantial organic chemistry coursework, WHMIS and OHSA training, and the ability to work with undergraduate and graduate students in a bilingual environment.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

Nature of the Position
Deliver and prepare discussion groups (DGD). Supervise quizzes, midterms, and a final exam.
The candidate must have successfully completed three years of organic chemistry, including CHM 3520 and at least three 4000-level courses or their equivalents.
Anyone who is not a graduate (Master's or PhD) student in Chemistry must pass a qualification test (unless previously completed).
Must have successfully completed the workshops on the Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
