Job summary

The University of Ottawa's Faculty of Science, Department of Physics, invites applications for teaching assistants and lab tutors for First Year Laboratories - Physics (PHY1XXX). Four positions available for the Main Campus, starting May 1, 2027 through August 31, 2027, with in-class delivery and exam support.

Undergraduates and graduates are paid at two rates: CAD 33.83 and CAD 53.31 per hour, with undergraduates receiving the lower rate and graduates the higher rate; vacation pay and statutory

Qualifications

• Completion of 3 years of University-level Physics or equivalent.
• Experience correcting/marking assignments, tests, and midterms.
• Excellent communication with students.
• Preparation of lab demonstrations.

Requirements and Nature of Work
