Zusammenfassung

University of Ottawa is seeking two teaching assistants for the Modern Physics course PHY2361 at the Main Campus. You will assist with student contact, grading, and exam proctoring as part of the Department of Physics, Students & Casuals.

Work runs January 1, 2027 through April 30, 2027, with hourly rates of $33.83 (undergraduate) or $53.31 (graduate) depending on status. In-class delivery and English language instruction apply.

Qualifikationen

  • Completion of four (4) years of University level Physics or equivalent.
  • Graduate students paid at higher rate; undergraduates at lower rate.
  • Mandatory training as required by university policy.

Aufgaben

  • Marking/grading of assignments, tests, midterms (45 hours).
  • Help students and provide office hours (10 hours).
  • Proctor mid-terms (6 hours) and final exams as assigned.
  • Perform additional tasks as negotiated with supervisor.

Requirements (faculty): Completion of four (4) years of University level Physics or equivalent.

  • 45 hours: Marking/grading of assignments, tests, midterm(s).
  • 10 hours: Helping students and office hours.
  • 6 hours: Proctoring mid-term (s), other tasks.
  • 4 hours. Proctoring final exam SCIXXXX. Assigned by the faculty.
