EDGE in Hay River, Northwest Territories, is seeking a Cultural Facilitator to coordinate cultural projects and promote Francophone spaces in CSFTNO schools and the community. You will design, plan and organize cultural and Indigenous activities, reporting to the principal and aligning with strategic priorities.
The role requires bilingual proficiency in English and French, a valid driver’s license, and is a 0.5 FTE part-time position with a 18.75 hour work week.
The Commission scolaire francophone, Territoires du Nord-Ouest (CSFTNO) provides quality French- first language education that promotes the cultural identity, personal development, and academic success of students across the Northwest Territories. As a key player in Francophone education, CSFTNO fosters inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environments grounded in community collaboration and student well-being.
The Cultural Facilitator is responsible for coordinating cultural projects to promote student and staff identity development, and to grow Francophone spaces in the Commission scolaire francophone des Territories du Nord-Quest (CSFTNO) schools and in the community. The successful incumbent will report directly to the principal and will design, plan and organized cultural and Indigenous activities for the CSFTNO students in accordance with the Francophone and Community Space priority area in the CSFTNO's Strategic Plan.

Typicaly, the above qualifications would be attained by:
Diploma in a Recreation program or 2 years of experience in a similar role in a francophone minority setting. Training and experience in recreation and education would be an asset. Must have a valid driver's license.

The salary range for this position is from $42.17 per hour to $50.53 per hour (approximately $41,115 - $49,101.) plus a pro-rated annual Northern Allowance of $2.32
