The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) is looking for a Cross-Trained Senior Medical Technologist to assist with department operations and supervise the delivery of diagnostic services. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with quality assurance standards and maintain a safe working environment in line with provincial guidelines.
Applicants should have a minimum of three years related experience, a degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, and current licenses with relevant governing bodies. The position also requires effective communication skills in both French and English.
Under the direction of the Charge Technologist or Designate, the Cross-Trained Senior Medical Technologist will be responsible for assisting in the general operation of the department, supervising other employees in the delivery of diagnostic services and providing technical assistance. The incumbent will maintain a safe environment in accordance with professional and provincial guidelines and ensure compliance with quality assurance programs and maintain standards put forth by Accreditation. Functions are conducted in accordance with the Mission and Values of Shared Health, current policies, procedures and applicable legislation.
