Job summary

Bison Transport Inc. is seeking Owner-Operator drivers to cover Canada/U.S. long-haul runs with a strong on-time pay record. Expect open-board freight, weekend departures and monthly mileage around 12,000 miles, with a 24/7 on-call readiness for dispatch.

Requirements include 24 months tractor-trailer experience, a 2020+ tractor with working DEF, U.S. qualification, and a valid Class 1/AZ license; lifting 50 lbs and driver-assist may be needed.

Qualifications

• Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor-trailer experience.
• Tractor must be 2020 or newer and equipped with a working DEF system.
• Must be U.S. qualified.
• Minimum 6 months U.S. driving experience.
• Minimum 6 months Highway 17 experience.
• Ability to work weekends.
• Valid Class 1/AZ License.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more; driver assist required occasionally.
• Reliable, flexible and punctual; strong communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Drive long-haul routes on Canada/U.S. open board.
• Haul all commodities including meat and alcohol.
• Weekend departures and flexible scheduling as required.

Job description

$3000 Sign on Bonus. Earn up to $18K/month. Get Paid On Time. Every Time. This position requires you to be on the road 7 to 14 days at a time, averaging 10K to 12K miles per month, available for dispatch 24 days a month. Resets on the road as required. Running open-board, Canada/U.S. long-haul.

• Southbound freight could depart from any of our Bison locations into any of the lower 48 states
• Northbound freight could go into any of the Canadian Provinces and Territories
• Required to drive 17 in Ontario, 12 months a year
• Required to drive U.S. Mountains 12 months of the year
• Averaging 12,000 miles per month (regional freight will be required)
• Flexible schedule requiring weekend departures
• Must be able to haul all commodities including meat and alcohol

Candidate Profile:

• Owner-Operator with 24 months tractor-trailer experience
