Job summary

Stagevision, a leading Canadian-owned AV and event production company, seeks a Finance Manager to lead accounting operations, reporting, and controls for cross-border services. You will partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and analysis in a lean environment.

The role requires Canada-U.S. accounting expertise, hands-on leadership of a small team, and a focus on accuracy, speed, and continuous improvement. On-site in Mississauga, full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business degree.
• Active accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA).
• Working knowledge of GAAP reporting.
• 5+ years as a Controller or Finance Manager overseeing the Accounting function.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience.
• Private equity experience and knowledge of ASPE standards.
• Experience reporting to C-suite and leading year-end audits.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions including due diligence and integration.
• ERP implementation experience.
• Experience with project costing.
• Strong Excel financial modelling skills (live test in interview).

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close for multiple entities, including consolidation.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial statements per ASPE / U.S. GAAP.
• Maintain the general ledger and accounting policies.
• Coordinate financial, managerial, and Board reporting.
• Lead Canadian and U.S. tax and payroll related filings.
• Manage intercompany transactions and FX considerations.
• Develop annual budget and monthly reforecasts; provide variance analyses.
• Monitor cash flow and working capital; manage banking relationships.
• Act as system owner for accounting/ERP and drive process improvements.
