Job summary

UHN in Toronto is seeking Respiratory Therapists to provide 24/7 respiratory therapy services across ICU, ED, OR, and other units, including the Hyperbaric Medicine Unit.

The role requires graduation from an accredited RT program with registration in Ontario; CSRT/CRTO membership is expected. Hyperbaric experience is preferred, and applicants must work well without direct supervision in a dynamic hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
• Registered with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO).
• Hyperbaric Medical Technologist (CHT) preferred; ability to work in a Hyperbaric environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services 24/7 to patients in ICUs, ED, ORs, PACU, wards and Hyperbaric Medicine Unit.
• Assist with airway management and respond to cardiac/respiratory arrests and transports.
• Administer aerosolized and MDI medications; educate patients on therapy equipment for hospital and home use.
• Perform bedside tests such as spirometry, oxygen saturation, blood gases, and gas therapy.
• Support nurses and allied health staff in respiratory/airway care and clinical decision making.
