Sonepar Canada, a leading distributor in electrical products, is seeking a Credit Supervisor based at our Surrey head office. The role focuses on customer experience, credit risk, and collections across all account types, with emphasis on setting credit limits, evaluating credit, and managing collections in collaboration with sales and credit teams.

The ideal candidate will have a CCP designation (or pursuing it), a Bachelor's in business/finance/accounting, and strong proficiency in Microsoft

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance or accounting is an asset.
• Construction credit experience is an asset.
• CCP certified credit professional designation or working towards it.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
• Must demonstrate good time management skills for yourself and your reports.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills with ability and willingness to communicate using multiple methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit review and risk evaluations for potential new and existing accounts while ensuring the Credit Policy is followed.
• Review lien and bond rights expiration dates and recommend filings.
• Daily outreach to past-due invoices and coordinate with sales on holds and limits.
• Collect and manage AR portfolios and dispute management.
• Reconcile payments and identify unapplied cash.
• Escalate when internal collections are no longer effective.
• Provide status updates on A/R problems and trends to Regional Credit Manager.
• Reconcile accounts ensuring proper application of payments.
• Investigate short/over payments and deductions for timely resolution.
• Respond to inquiries from customers, sales, and branches.
