Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a skilled LC administrator in Montreal to manage letters of credit, SBLCs and related guarantees. You will ensure compliance with UCP/ISP rules, support internal clients, and prepare documents in TI+, ACBS, and Word.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in trade finance LC operations, knowledge of regulatory guidelines, and strong communication skills. Competitive compensation with benefits and on-site work in Montreal.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in trade finance LC/SBLC/guarantees.
• Knowledge of UCP 600/ISP 98/URDG 758.
• Familiarity with sanctions, OFAC compliance and anti-boycott rules.
• SWIFT knowledge and messaging experience.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Experience with LC billing and reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure LC transactions comply with client instructions and UCP/ISP guidelines.
• Process sensitive transactions promptly and escalate when needed.
• Provide LC technical support to internal clients.
• Prepare LC documents using TI+ or ACBS and MS Word.
• Respond to inquiries and follow up until payment is secured.
• Maintain LC files with supporting documents and checklists.
• Record disbursements and accounting entries in ACBS.
• Ensure SWIFT messages are sent correctly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that letter of credit transactions are in conformity with client instructions, UCP Publication 600/ISP98, and the Bank’s credit/ compliance procedures.
• Ensure timely processing of sensitive transactions and report to management any unusual or intricate transactions requiring review, discussion and or approval.
• Provide assistance/support to internal clients on technical aspects and practices of letters of credit
• Prepare and execute required letter of credit documents using TI+, Microsoft Word, or ACBS, as needed.
• Respond to pending inquiries, discrepancies and resolution of documents filed, ensure that all items are actively traced via correspondence with respective parties, tickler schedule and actively follow-up until payment is secured and transaction is finalized.
• Ensure that Letters of Credit file contains relevant supporting documentation i.e. copy of executed letter of credit/ amendments and completed compliance checklist, when required.
• Ensure timely disbursement of funds, as required for LC drawings, and record transaction through the Bank’s accounting system (ACBS) for accurate accounting and reporting.
• Ensure SWIFT messages for LC transactions are processed properly

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $28.40/hour - $44.58/hour.
