Job summary

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Business Analyst with strong regulatory reporting experience to map counterparty data for internal monitoring and external regulatory reporting such as LEF and SCCL.

The role involves learning LEF risk concepts, creating mapping logic, coordinating with IT for requirements, and managing test planning, UAT, and production migrations across global teams.

Qualifications

  • Experience in banking or consulting projects delivering systems implementations or process improvements.
  • Undergraduate degree or higher; preferred fields: Math/CS/Engineering/Finance.
  • Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and related delivery frameworks.
  • Proficient with SQL and data platforms (Hive, SQL Server, Teradata, HUE, Dremio).
  • Strong MS Office suite skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access.

Responsibilities

  • Understand upstream product attributes (Lending, Facilities, Securities, Derivatives).
  • Learn LEF risk shifting concepts for CDS, SFTs, and derivatives.
  • Perform data gap analysis across systems and processes.
  • Create reporting mapping logic and requirements docs.
  • Communicate requirements to Dev and QA teams; coordinate testing.
  • Support UAT, production deployments, and migrations.
  • Assist with process reengineering and training materials.
  • Provide status updates to management throughout the project.

Job description

The Business Analyst must have work experience in regulatory reporting and be familiar with RBC Capital Markets products, including Loans, Deposits, Nostro/Vostro, as well as client data domains such as Client Data Repository (CDR), Client Lifecycle Management (CLM), and Know Your Client (KYC), and booking data such as Booking Data Repository (BDR).

The project will work closely with teams in Asia, and working hours will be extensive. The candidate may be required to join calls in the early morning and late evening to accommodate time zone differences.

Role Summary

The Business Analyst's responsibilities will include understanding counterparty credit exposure measurement for various products, mapping source data to internal monitoring and reporting (e.g., Counterparty Concentration Report), external regulatory reporting (e.g., Large Exposure Framework (LEF) and Single Counterparty Credit Limit (SCCL)), and supporting production-related activities.

The BA will primarily create mapping logic for counterparty credit exposure reporting, develop requirements documentation, and liaise with IT developers to communicate requirements. The role will also involve planning and coordinating user testing, coordinating implementation and migration activities, and providing written and verbal project status updates to the project leadership team and senior management throughout the project lifecycle.

What You Will Do
  • Understand various product attributes from upstream systems, including Lending Products, Facilities, Securities, Securities Finance Transactions (SFT), and Derivatives.
  • Quickly learn and apply new concepts, including LEF Risk Shifting for Credit Default Swaps (CDS), SFTs, Derivatives, Guarantees, and LC Fronting.
  • Perform data gap analysis across systems, processes, and procedures as required for the project.
  • Create reporting mapping logic and requirements documentation.
  • Communicate requirements to Development and QA teams.
  • Perform testing, coordinate UAT activities, and assist with production implementations.
  • Contribute to process reengineering and process improvement initiatives where applicable.
  • Support user training and documentation as needed.
  • Report BA team status and elevate concerns or issues that may impact project timelines to management and project managers.
What Do You Need to Succeed?
Must Have
  • Experience in systems implementation, process improvement, or systems reengineering projects within a banking organization or consulting company.
  • Undergraduate degree or higher, preferably in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies, Agile, and related delivery frameworks.
  • Experience with SQL and data platforms, including Hive, MS SQL Server, Teradata, HUE, and Dremio.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $25.85/hour - $40.39/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
