Supports the execution of accurate and efficient reporting solutions for risk, regulatory, and management information to internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies. Supports an efficient risk management function that uses common information sources and practices, reduces ongoing costs, increases service levels, and minimizes risk.

  1. Breaks down strategic problems, analyzes data, and provides insights and recommendations.
  2. Acts as a resource for team members with less experience.
  3. Leads or assists with the maintenance, monitoring, measurement, and reporting on risk reporting strategies' performance.
  4. Designs, develops, and implements reporting solutions to meet management and regulatory requirements.
  5. Provides advice and guidance on analytical and reporting solutions.
  6. Ensures timely, accurate, and efficient delivery of scheduled reports.
  7. Supports the monitoring of key risk indicators for stakeholders.
  8. Analyzes data for risk insights, including modeling and assessments.
  9. Interprets policies and regulatory requirements relevant to analytics and reporting.
  10. Collaborates with data owners to identify data sources for analytical needs.
  11. Maintains governance and controls across risk reporting activities.
  12. Highlights significant data variances, trends, opportunities, and exposures.
  13. Supports audit processes with relevant data and reports.
  14. Prepares and formats data into reports and dashboards.
  15. Participates in strategic initiatives with stakeholders.
  16. Builds effective stakeholder relationships.
  17. Maintains operational procedures for analytical and reporting processes.
  18. Develops tools and training to enhance understanding of risk data.
  19. Ensures accuracy of risk data in core business processes.
  20. Organizes work to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
  21. Focuses primarily on business within BMO, with potential enterprise-wide scope.
  22. Uses judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems.
  23. Works independently on complex tasks, including unique situations.
  24. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience with a related degree or equivalent experience.
  • Programming experience with SAS, Python, or R.
  • Knowledge of risk management metrics, KPIs, and KRIs.
  • Understanding of industry trends and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Product knowledge relevant to the business/portfolio.
  • Knowledge of risk management theories, processes, and reporting techniques.
  • Familiarity with reporting and analytics concepts and systems.
  • Technical proficiency through education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
  • Deep analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective influence skills.
  • Data-driven decision-making capabilities.
Salary:

$54,500.00 - $101,500.00

Pay Type:

Salaried

Salaries vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and may include incentives and bonuses. Part-time salaries are pro-rated.
