Senior Banking Data Analyst to Perform credit risk reporting (OFSI reports) - 88432-1

Line of Business: Risk Business Intelligence Office (RBIO) - Perform credit risk reporting (OFSI reports, public disclosure reporting, senior management reporting).

Remote/Hybrid: Mon and Tues in Office and first Friday of every month

Location Address: 81 Bay 31st Floor

Project: Slated to end in Oct. Real Estate Data Capture Project (REDC) - Data mapping, Business Analysis, UTA testing along with project activities.

Job Description:

You will apply your strong reporting and data analysis skillsets, combined with an understanding of Risk Management to further RBIO’s purpose of “Acting as a trusted advisor” by enhancing risk domain business intelligence in The Bank. Your responsibilities include taking ownership of the assigned monthly and quarterly wholesale credit risk reporting to various Bank partner teams as well as regulators. You will also be accountable for developing detailed requirements to ensure high data quality in the development and maintenance of robust reporting and analytic solutions in collaboration with teams across Product, Finance, Risk, and Technology.

  • Data Quality – Understand the importance of data quality in reporting, monitor data quality, raise issues, and take ownership to resolve them in both production and project settings.
  • Business and Data Analysis – Possess technical and business acumen, be proficient in SQL, and serve as a liaison between business and technology teams. Understand requirements analysis and UAT processes. Collaborate with risk data consumers and providers to analyze, measure, monitor, and report wholesale risk data to regulators and senior management.
  • Projects & Testing – Identify risks, provide status updates, escalate issues, and ensure test deliverables meet timelines, budgets, and goals. Lead the translation of business requirements into test cases and manage end-to-end testing activities.
  • Data Interpretation – Investigate complex problems, analyze data using tools like SQL, Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, and communicate insights effectively.
  • Continuous Learning – Demonstrate a passion for growth and continuous learning.
  • Values and Ownership – Embody trust, teamwork, accountability, and take ownership to lead and deliver results.

Must haves:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst
  • Background in data warehousing and reporting projects
  • Experience in requirements documentation and data mapping
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
  • Skills in requirements gathering, business analysis, and UAT testing
  • Knowledge of BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, Power BI

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to credit risk data in Wholesale Banking or Capital Markets

Education and Certifications: Preferred - Degree in business, finance, software development, or risk
