Our client is seeking a Credit/Collections Coordinator to join their team in Calgary, AB. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient use of credit limits, accounts receivable operations, and achieving collection targets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit management and collections, coupled with exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The key job functions are:

  1. Managing a portfolio of accounts, including assessing credit limits and reviewing account balances.
  2. Proactively addressing and resolving overdue balances through effective communication (email/phone).
  3. Collaborating with internal teams to keep account representatives informed on account statuses.
  4. Processing various forms of remittances, including cheques, EFT, and credit card payments.
  5. Performing additional administrative tasks as required.

Education:

  1. Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

Qualifications:

  1. Successfully complete a criminal and credit check.
  2. High proficiency in MS 365 (specifically Excel).

Experience:

  1. Minimum of 5 years of credit and collections experience in a high-volume environment.

Skills:

  1. Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  2. Proven organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  3. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  4. Customer service-oriented and capable of thriving under pressure.
  5. Adaptable, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Base Salary: $55,000 – 60,000 per year

Work Hours:

  1. 40 hours per week
  2. Monday – Friday

Remote Work:

This position is not remote and required to be on-site.

Additional Notes:

  1. This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
