We are currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the role of Collections Specialist. This is a full-time position that can be fully remote, hybrid, or based in an office. Your home location is flexible within any metropolitan area where Applied operates.

The Collections Specialist is responsible for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts through correspondence (email and phone) within a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and review assigned accounts daily to prevent late payments and resolve past-due balances.
  • Contact customers to arrange collection of past due accounts.
  • Reconcile and resolve customer payment disputes.
  • Investigate root causes for non-payment.
  • Update account status and database regularly.
  • Maintain documentation of customer correspondence.
  • Communicate collection strategies with management.
  • Prepare reports and handle ad hoc duties as needed.
  • Meet department goals and activity metrics.
  • Analyze account information and recommend solutions or process improvements.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in accounts receivable collections.
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and SAP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, team player, and ability to work independently.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Effective interaction with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Experience with SAP is a plus.
