Your Mission:

The Credit Assistant is responsible for assisting the Credit Manager in the collection of accounts and reviewing and approving credit applications.

Responsibilities:

• Contact customers for payments on delinquent accounts
• Process credit card payments
• Investigate and reconcile disputed accounts and advise the appropriate person
• Release orders that are on credit hold when appropriate
• Recommend to Credit Manager customers who should be on credit hold or are over the credit limit
• Forward invoices that need to be written off to the Business Controller for approval
• Prepare adjustments and open Service Now tickets
• Work with customers and assist with payment plans
• Responsible for maintaining internal and external communication regarding delinquent accounts and write-offs
• Communicate positively with customers in regards to their payments or other inquiries.
• Maintain liaison requesting information and/or supporting documentation from internal and external personnel
• Communicate any changes to internal and external personnel

Your profile:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/ Finance or related fields desired
• 5 years of experience in this position, with similar activities.
• CCP Designation is an asset
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet, and related computer skills.
