Job description

Facilitates decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for the bank. Maintains and promotes a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations. This role will make credit decisions and recommendations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and in compliance with Bank Policies & Procedures.

1. Identifies new sales opportunities for prospects and existing commercial clients through analysis.
2. Participates in on-site client visits with internal stakeholders.
3. Maintains a customer service environment that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
4. Recommends credit according to sound credit-granting principles.
5. Exercises discretionary limits for commercial credit decisions.
6. Supports strategic initiatives with stakeholders.
7. Evaluates clients’ ability to repay loans, and advises on loan structure and collateral.
8. Identifies trends indicating potential credit deterioration.
9. Performs periodic credit reviews and monitors client covenants.
10. Understands borrower types in the high net worth market and their loan characteristics.
11. Grants loans within specified limits, applying credit scoring and risk management concepts.
12. Prepares credit summaries and presents assessments of creditworthiness.
13. Ensures compliance with internal credit policies to minimize risk.
14. Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
15. Works independently on complex tasks, including unique situations.

Qualifications:

1. Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience and a related post-secondary degree or equivalent.
