AlgaeCal Inc. is seeking a Creative Director to set the visual standard, lead a multidisciplinary design team, and ensure all campaigns and assets stay true to the AlgaeCal brand while driving growth.

You’ll guide creative direction for product launches, integrated campaigns, and evolving brand narratives in a fast-growing health and wellness environment. The role emphasizes scaling a high-performance team, refining processes, and leveraging AI strategically to accelerate ideation and production

Qualifications

• 10+ years in design or creative
• 7+ years leading creative teams
• Ability to set creative direction and translate business goals into strategy
• Strong commercial instincts with understanding of audiences, funnels, and e-commerce
• Experience leading large, complex creative initiatives (product launches, campaigns, brand evolutions)
• Confidence to influence senior stakeholders and align teams
• Experience building and scaling creative teams
• Ability to fix broken creative processes and optimize workflows
• Knowledge of AI and emerging technology to speed ideation while preserving taste

Responsibilities

• Set the visual standard for AlgaeCal across all campaigns, websites, ads, and brand assets
• Lead and develop a team of designers and creative specialists
• Protect the brand while pushing for fresher, smarter ideas
• Improve the creative process when briefs are unclear or revisions stall
• Use performance data to guide the next round of creatives
• Build and plan resources, skills gaps, and future hiring
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align on creative direction and goals
• Leverage AI to enhance ideation, production, and workflows without sacrificing originality
