Job summary

Swim Recruiting is seeking a CPA-designated accounting leader for a not-for-profit in Vancouver. The Controller will manage full-cycle accounting, month/quarter/year-end closes, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow, P&L, and analysis while guiding a 1–2 person team and supporting senior leadership.

To qualify, candidates must have a CPA designation (or international equivalent) and at least 7 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in the NPO sector.

Qualifications

• CPA designation (or international equivalent) is required.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive full-cycle accounting experience.
• Experience in not-for-profit sector is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting, month/quarter/year-end closes and financial reporting.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting, cash-flow management, P&L and balance sheet analysis.
• Manage a small team (1–2 people) and partner with senior leadership.
