Job summary

Swim Recruiting is seeking a Manager, Financial Reporting for a CPA-designated professional to lead financial reporting and internal controls within a growing Canadian finance team. The role reports to the Director of Finance and is based in Coquitlam with hybrid work options.

You will prepare month-end reporting, ensure strong internal controls, collaborate with AP/AR/payroll and project accounting, and mentor junior staff as the team expands.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or international equivalent is required.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong financial reporting skills using ASPE.
• Public practice experience with a mid-size or multinational firm.
• Ability to lead initiatives and mentor team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely month-end financial reporting, including financial statements, reconciliations, schedules, and ad hoc analysis.
• Ensure internal controls are maintained and opportunities to strengthen processes identified.
• Collaborate with accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and project accounting teams.
• Provide coverage and support for daily accounting operations and other finance leadership as needed.
• Support broader organizational goals and leadership initiatives.
