Morison Insurance is seeking an Accounting Manager (CPA) to lead the accounting function and modernize controls in Hamilton, ON. The role oversees payroll for 100+ employees across six locations, ensures accuracy and compliance, and partners with leadership on financial insights.

Reporting to the Director - IT, Admin and Finance, this on-site position offers growth in a family-owned brokerage with a strong benefits package and opportunities for process improvement.

Formación

• CPA designation required or in final stages.
• 2+ years progressive accounting experience, preferably in insurance/financial services/private company.
• Experience budgeting, financial controls, and month-end close.
• Hands-on payroll processing experience.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and develop the accounting team and monitor financial performance.
• Design and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Oversee payroll processing and remittances for 100+ employees across locations.
• Deliver monthly financial statements and operating metrics to leadership.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities.
