Job summary

Sask DLC is seeking a temporary full-time Course Development Teacher (Finance) to design online course content and ensure alignment with curricular outcomes. The position begins based on candidate availability and ends June 25, 2027, with campus location determined by the successful candidate's principal residence.

You will work with Instructional Design Consultants, SMEs, PLNs and the Technology support team to implement content following Sask DLC standards, frameworks and policies, delivering

Course Development Teacher (Finance)

Sask DLC requires a temporary full time (1.0 FTE) Course Development Teacher. The position will commence based on the availability of the successful candidate and end on June 25th, 2027. The campus location will be determined by the principal residence of the successful candidate.

As a Course Development Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping our online courses and ensuring they meet the needs of our students. We are looking for teachers who understand the challenges of online learning and are passionate about creating engaging and effective learning experiences for all stakeholders.

As a Course Development Teacher at Sask DLC, you will be responsible for developing high-quality content for our courses. You will collaborate with our Instructional Design Consultants, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Professional Learning Networks (PLNs), and the Technology support team to ensure that the content and assessments align with curricular outcomes and is implemented effectively following Sask DLC Course Development standards, program guidelines, frameworks and policies.

Primary Responsibilities

Specific Skills and/or responsibilities include:

• Understand curriculum and assessment: Demonstrate a deep understanding of curriculum requirements to develop instructional content that meets curricular outcomes
• Drafting Instructional content: Use MS word to draft instructional content ensuring clarity and alignment with learning objectives
• Collaboration with Course Development Team: Work closely on a project team with instructional content into the Moodle environment, ensuring alignment with learning objectives, design standards, and program guidelines. This includes actively seeking input from team members.
• Envision and develop comprehensive plans for each course development project, ensuring all learning outcomes are met and assessed according to the Sask DLC Assessment, Grading, and Communication (AGC) Framework.

• Collaboration: Able to work collaboratively with Instructional Designers and other team members, demonstrating a willingness to provide and receive constructive feedback
• Organizational Skill: Strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in technical areas such as audio production, video editing, web development, or other relevant skills is beneficial but not required.
• Soft Skills: Demonstrate soft skills such as adaptability, innovative thinking, teamwork and problem solving.
• Seek out appropriate resources for course development and be prepared to engage with partners where opportunities exist.

All successful candidates will be required to complete the Sask DLC course development team orientation and onboarding as part of the introduction to the Course Development Team.
