Job summary

Saint Laurent is seeking a Country Manager for Canada to oversee operations, drive growth, and elevate client engagement across stores. You will lead sales, retail operations, inventory, and HR initiatives while coaching store leaders and collaborating with corporate partners.

Qualifications

  • Effective communicator and inspirational leader.
  • Mobility on the sales floor and ability to lift items up to 30 lbs.

  • Oversee inventory management including import/export processes, customs and trade compliance, forecasting and stock optimization.
  • Collaborate closely with corporate and retail stakeholders to align objectives and optimize operations.
  • Uphold brand standards for visual merchandising, maintenance, grooming and stock procedures to ensure operational excellence.

Summary

The Country Manager will oversee Saint Laurent’s Canada business, driving growth, brand development, and elevated client engagement across Canadian stores. Reporting to the VP of Retail, US/CAN, the role leads sales, retail operations, inventory, and HR initiatives to enhance brand presence and the customer experience. This position requires strategic leadership to implement sales plans, coach store leaders, and collaborate with corporate stakeholders.


Responsibilities


  • Implement regional strategies, sales plans and budgets to achieve business targets for Canada.

  • Drive Retail Excellence and ensure an impeccable customer experience across all stores.

  • Ensure stores are adequately staffed and coach and mentor Store Managers and Client Advisors to improve productivity and performance.

  • Analyze business trends and create weekly and monthly plans to meet sales and collection sell‑through goals.

  • Develop and manage client outreach, loyalty and sales programs to drive revenue.

  • Oversee inventory management including import/export processes, customs and trade compliance, forecasting and stock optimization.

Requirements


  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in the luxury fashion industry (10–12 years preferred).

  • Proven multi‑store management experience and ability to lead regional retail operations.

  • Track record of managing teams to exceed sales goals while maintaining payroll budgets.

  • Experience recruiting, training, developing and retaining high‑performing retail talent.

  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving and prioritization skills with the ability to execute multiple tasks.

  • Effective communicator and leader capable of motivating and influencing others.

  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods and to lift and mobilize items up to 30 lbs.
