Job summary

The Loose Moose & Antler Room in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Counter Server to provide friendly, efficient service, take guest orders, and ensure pizzas meet quality standards.

This role involves handling payments, serving beverages, coordinating with the Antler Room window, and maintaining stock and cleanliness. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant, counter service, or hospitality environment is preferred.
• Valid Smart Serve certification is required.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable handling payments and operating POS systems.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take food and beverage orders, and accurately enter orders into the POS system.
• Process guest payments and handle cash and electronic transactions.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with responsible alcohol service standards.
• Serve guests through the order window when the Antler Room is open.
• Reheat pizza slices and finish pizzas with parmesan, oil, and other required toppings or garnishes.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of beverages, food products, and service supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter, service areas, and equipment throughout each shift.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service and a positive guest experience.
