The Bolt Supply House Ltd in Surrey, BC is seeking a dependable Counter Sales Representative to support branch sales and warehouse operations in a fast-paced industrial setting. You will assist customers, process orders, and help maintain accurate inventory and shipments.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in Industrial MRO, strong customer service, and experience with ERP/order entry systems. Forklift experience is an asset.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Industrial MRO or related environment.
• Excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/order entry systems.
• Strong math skills for pricing and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries in person, by phone, and by email with professionalism and technical knowledge.
• Assess customer needs and recommend products, pricing, and availability.
• Provide alternatives considering price, specs, compatibility, and stock.
• Provide updates on product availability, shipment status, and timelines.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to fulfill orders and resolve issues.
• Maintain organized counter and storefront area and ensure inventory accuracy.

We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Counter Sales Representative based out of our Surrey, BC location (101 - 9725 192nd Street).

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused professional to support both branch sales and warehouse operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring seamless daily operations—from assisting customers and processing orders to maintaining accurate inventory and coordinating shipments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Respond to customer inquiries via in-person, phone, and email with professionalism and technical expertise
• Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate products, pricing, availability, and alternative solutions
• Present alternatives and solutions considering pricing, specifications, compatibility, and availability
• Provide reliable updates on product availability, shipment status, and delivery timelines
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely fulfillment and resolve issues
• Help maintain an organized, stocked, and professional counter & storefront area
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and repeat customers
• Support with shipping, receiving, inventory counts and maintain accurate system information
• Uphold company policies and procedures while maintaining a professional branch presence
• Perform other branch and counter-related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience in Industrial MRO, fasteners, components, or related environment is required
• Strong customer service skills with a professional, positive attitude
• Experience operating warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools would be an asset
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Solid problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Honest, dependable, and punctual with a proactive work ethic
• Capable of following written instructions, safety procedures, and documented processes
• Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel), and ERP/order entry systems
• Working knowledge of business math including pricing, measurements, ratios, etc
