Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Canada is seeking a Cost Manager to join our Enterprise team. You will lead cost estimation, planning and reporting across asset classes, working with clients and consultants to drive value and manage risk.

With 3+ years post-graduate experience and a degree, you will contribute to feasibility studies, post‑contract cost validation, and life cycle costing while upholding quality standards and ISO processes in a flexible, hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• +3 years of relevant experience
• A recognized university degree
• Membership in CIQS / RICS is a bonus

Responsibilities

• Prepare Cost Management reports for all asset classes related to real estate in Canada
• Interface with the client and other consultants at all project stages
• Assist in research on construction market conditions across Canada
• Assist in developing new business opportunities with clients
• Ensure knowledge management by inputting data into internal databases
• Support Quality Control and ISO audits
• Assist on feasibility studies and procurement reports
• Estimate and cost plan including producing and presenting final cost plans
• Validate post-contract cost changes and refer major changes to line manager
• Contribute to value engineering and life cycle costing
• Support commission management to maintain quality and timely delivery
• Ensure service delivery aligns with appointment terms

Who are you?

You are an experienced Cost Consultant with aminimum of 3 years post-graduateexperience looking for the next step or are currently undertaking a similar role in a similar environment

Job Description

As a Cost Manager, you will be involved in:

• Preparing Cost Management reports for all asset classes related to real estate throughout Canada
• Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
• Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data
• Assisting Senior Consultant / Associate Director in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients
• Knowledge management – Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.
• Quality Control – Ensuring compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits
• Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
• Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
• Validating post contract cost changes, where applicable referring major changes to line manager
• Inputting into value engineering and life cycle costing
• Assist commission manager ensuring commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time
• Assist commission manager ensuring service delivery on commissions is in line with the conditions of appointment

Qualifications

• +3 years of relevant experience
• A recognized university degree
• Membership in relevant professional organizations is a bonus (CIQS / RICS)

The base salary range for this full-time role is $95,000 - $145,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate’s experience and qualifications.
