Job summary

Greenfield Global in Brampton, ON is seeking a Plant Accountant to support operations, production, and plant leadership with accurate financial and inventory data.

This role partners with Operations and Supply Chain; hybrid work 4 days in office, 1 day from home, and focus on cost accounting, month-end close, and internal controls. Grow with a manufacturing team committed to continuous improvement and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing, inventory, cost accounting, or operational finance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• AdvancedMicrosoft Excel skills.
• Experience working with ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Managing inventory accounting, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Supporting product costing and manufacturing accounting activities.
• Participating in month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Partnering with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory accuracy and operational performance.
• Supporting physical inventory counts and investigating inventory variances.
• Assisting with purchasing, accounts payable, and procurement-related activities.
• Maintaining inventory and product master data within ERP systems.
• Supporting internal controls, audits, compliance reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Contributing to process improvements and systems enhancement projects, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 initiatives.
• Providing analysis and insights that support operational and financial decision-making.

This role follows a hybrid work arrangement, with 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home each week.

What You'll Do
