Job summary

Bulk Barn in Nanaimo is seeking a Store Key Holder to assist the Store Manager and Supervisor in daily operations. You will lead staff, coach teams, and ensure Bulk Barn standards.

The role requires strong communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills, with flexibility for a schedule that includes early mornings, days, and evenings. Retail experience is an asset, and you will handle cash transactions using POS and Interact terminals.

Responsibilities

• In absence of Store Manager, manage staff and ensure that Bulk Barn standards are upheld
• Coach and motivate staff to perform their duties to the best of their abilities
• Delegate tasks amongst employees
• Follow-up with employees to ensure the tasks are being executed correctly and in a timely manner
• Lead and assist workers in performing their day-to-day tasks
• Assist customers in a manner that exceeds customer expectations
• Process cash transactions using POS system and Interact terminal
• Clean store
• Restock store shelves
• Unload deliveries (in excess of 50 lbs.)
• Ensure the store is kept clean at all times
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Temporary, Part-time.

Schedule: Must be available to work a flexible schedule that includes early mornings, days and evenings, Monday through Sunday. Your availability must be approximately 12 to 25 hours per week.
