Job summary

Qualifications

• Member in good standing of the Ontario Bar.
• 2–5 years of call in corporate law.
• Experience with public M&A, securities, capital markets and private equity.
• Ability to run files with partner supervision and guidance.
• Commercially minded, detail oriented, and proactive.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Advise on a range of corporate matters, with a focus on private M&A transactions


• Support on select public and capital markets matters as needed


• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including share and asset purchase agreements and ancillary agreements


• Manage deal processes, including due diligence, closing coordination, and transaction execution


• Work closely with partners and senior lawyers across multiple mandates


• Coordinate with internal teams as required across corporate and securities matters


• Manage files with partner oversight and increasing autonomy


• Support partners on active corporate and transactional mandates
