Job summary

IKO Industries Ltd. is seeking a Corporate Reliability Engineering Intern in Brampton to support reliability initiatives and asset optimization. The role welcomes recent grads or co-op students beginning this Fall and involves data analysis, CAD review, and cross-site asset standardization.

You'll work with Reliability Engineers to collect evidence, update CMMS SOPs, and help drive the Top 5 reliability initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in maintenance planning and asset management.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or 3rd/4th year student in engineering.
• Proficient in MS Excel and data analysis tools.
• AutoCAD experience or proficiency is a plus.
• Self-starter with eagerness to learn and contribute.

Responsibilities

• Assist Reliability Engineers with data analysis, asset categorization and usage rates.
• Review drawings and standardize asset naming across sites.
• Support PM and PdM tasks with data collection and interpretation.
• Create hyperlinks for drawings and service forms to speed requests.
• Document asset information updates in drawings.
• Assist with Spare Parts optimization under guidance.
• Develop CMMS SOPs, WI, and training materials.

Job Description

We are looking for a Corporate Reliability Engineering Intern to join our team. The role is open to recent Engineering grads and any current students who may still be looking for a Co-Op that begins this Fall. We are hiring immediately for this position.

When you join us you will;

• Assist Reliability Engineers to perform data analysis, categorization of parts, parts usage rates, etc.
• Review drawings and field labels on assets to build a cross reference with standardized asset names at other sites.
• Work with the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, Reliability Engineer, Inventory Coordinator, Planners/ Scheduler, Mill Wrights, etc., to help drive the progress with the Top 5 Reliability initiatives
• Perform Data collection and some analysis within Prodac (Downtime Tracking System) exported to Excel and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)with interpretation and trending of highly critical equipment with common repeating failure patterns at the plant
• Supporting Reliability Engineer Data collection and standardization of Failure modes and the Preventive (PM) and Predictive (PdM) Maintenance tasks to maintain the assets
• Accurately create Hyperlinks between large volumes of related PDF drawings and corresponding Service Request forms, Bill Of Materials, Manuals, etc., to accelerate time to find correct parts and create requests for work, etc.
• Document asset information that needs to be updated in the drawings
• Recommend more efficient ways to sort through and categorize and standardize the above items
• Work with Reliability Engineer to perform Spare Parts optimization that support the above Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) inspection tasks for the Highly Critical Assets
• Assist Reliability Engineers with collecting evidence and data during Root Cause Analysis investigations
• Develop and update CMMS SOP’s, WI’s, Test Scripts and Training Videos

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;

• Recent graduate from a University Engineering program, preferably Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical.
• For current students, 3rd or 4th year students strongly preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel, analyzing spreadsheet information, using Pareto’s, Bar Charts, Look Up Tables, Pivot Tables, Drop Down Menus, etc.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Power Point.
• Troubleshooting capability is a plus
• Self-starter and eager to work.

Wage

• $25.50/ hour - $29.00/hour

Hours/ Days / Schedule

Hours of work will be primarily Monday through Friday {30 - 40 hours, day shift}.
