Job summary

Dream Industrial REIT is seeking a Corporate Accountant to maintain robust reporting and accounting for multiple corporate entities. You will handle monthly close, reconciliations, and analysis, while supporting quarter-end and year-end deliverables in IFRS format.

You will work with a collaborative Corporate Accounting team, using AI/automation tools and liaising with Tax and Shared Services. CPA designation or candidacy is preferred, with at least 1 year of experience and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• University or college accounting program graduate.
• CPA designation or candidate for CPA designation.
• Minimum one year of experience with general accounting or full-cycle month-end close process.
• Independent and self-motivated with a strong prioritization mindset committed to meeting deadlines and getting things done.
• Strong attention to details.
• Superior interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Previous experience with JD Edwards is preferred.
• Previous experience with Wdesk or ReportsNow is an asset.
• Exposure to, or experience in, real estate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the accounting records for various corporate entities.
• Prepare corporate bank account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting deliverables including consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and the MD&A.
• Assist with providing documentation for external auditors.
• Assist in the preparation of legal entity financial statements for tax and debt compliance.
• Assist with ad hoc requests from other departments (e.g., Tax, Shared Services, etc.).
• Supporting the Corporate Accounting team in leveraging AI and automation tools.
• Assist with various special projects and process improvement initiatives within the Corporate Accounting function.
