Job summary

Horizon Recruitment is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to support Europe and Asia corporate business units. You will report to the Assistant Controller and partner with Finance and business unit leaders to deliver accurate reporting and strengthen financial processes.

The role requires CPA designation (or equivalent), 4+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, and strong Excel skills. Real estate accounting is a plus; Yardi/Elevate/Concur knowledge is beneficial.

Qualifications

• CPA designation or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
• Real estate accounting experience is an asset.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of Yardi, Elevate and Concur is an asset but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail and ownership mindset.
• Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly corporate accounting and reporting packages with schedules and variance explanations.
• Lead monthly intercompany reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Complete month-end journal entries, accruals and close activities.
• Prepare IFRS 16 accounting entries.
• Manage fixed asset capitalization and depreciation processes.
• Maintain prepaid expense schedules and amortization.
• Oversee accounts receivable ledger including collections and investigations.
• Prepare transfer pricing calculations and tax filings.
• Support year-end audits and profitability adjustments.
• Analyze variances MoM and QoQ; communicate key findings.
• Prepare quarterly reporting deliverables for the parent company.
• Provide financial reports and analysis to business unit leaders.
