Job summary

Job description

Be part of building a national brand. Headquartered in Toronto, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) is a national, private, not-for-profit organization committed to high-performance sports excellence. We are the largest private supporter of high-performance sport in Canada and we are responsible for all aspects of Canada's involvement in the Olympic Movement, including the participation in the Olympic and Pan American Games.

Reporting to the Manager, Marketing Partnerships, the Coordinator, Marketing Partnerships is responsible for supporting key aspects of Partner relations including program management and delivery, approvals, client servicing, and administration. Additional responsibilities will include Partnership Cross Functional work as outlined below.

LOCATION

This position will be located in one of the COC’s offices (Montreal, QC, at 500 René-Lévesque Boulevard West; or in Toronto, ON at 250 Yonge St. Suite 3000). We offer a hybrid work model that allows for up to two days of remote work each week.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRIORITIES
Partner Servicing and Program Leadership
  • As a main point of contact for Supplier partners, enhance sponsor value by working with partners to develop and execute marketing activities and programs that drive Partner and COC objectives
  • Provide project leadership on select Partner Programs (e.g. Petro-Canada Fueling Athlete & Coaching Excellence)
  • Assist in the development, execution and administration of partner programs from Supplier to Premier National Partners which leverage their involvement with the Canadian Olympic Team
  • Manage the approvals process for assigned Partner marks usage and activation plans
  • Liaise with the COC’s Sport, Marketing, and Education departments, as well as the Canadian Olympic Foundation, to ensure proper delivery of assigned Partner benefits
  • Work with the Commercial Affairs team to monitor and manage commercial rights infringements while working closely with assigned Partners to ensure they have the tools to maximize their brand association rights
  • Manage budgets for assigned Partners
  • Manage and support key projects and cross-functional tasks for the Marketing Partnerships team, which drive value for the Marketing Partners group as a collective
Partnership Cross-Functional
  • Act as the recording administrator in partnership-wide meetings, as required, and note / communicate follow-up items with/for the attendees
  • Ensure electronic filing system is up-to-date, efficient, and readily accessible
  • Oversee the department’s budget task code with the Director, Marketing Partnerships and manage all related expenses
  • Support Gifting Program for internal COC stakeholders and manage process for external Partners
  • Support the delivery of COC Partner Engagement events including Partner Summit and other department events
  • Lead, and keep accurately updated, the Partner contact database
  • Responsible for centralized communications with Partners and distribute Partner communications and events calendar internally
  • Other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL SKILLS
Education and Experience
  • Post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Sport Business, or related field
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience within sponsorship and/or sports marketing
Skills and Abilities
  • Passionate about sport from grassroots to high performance
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated best in class client service experience
  • Curiosity for and desire to learn more about the business of sport, and about the business challenges Partner companies face across various industries
  • An affinity for building strong relationships
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills. Bilingualism (French, English) is an asset
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and deploy resources in areas that have greatest positive impact on results
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Strong balance between attention to detail and the bigger picture
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with various internal and external colleagues/stakeholders
  • Digital/social media familiarity, experience with platforms an asset
  • Strong computer software expertise required, including Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, CoPilot
  • Demonstrates and embodies the COC values of Accountability, Excellence, Fun, Respect and Bravery
COMPENSATION

The expected salary range for this role is $47,800 to $65,700 per year. The base pay within this range is based on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills, qualifications, internal pay equity, and market benchmarks.
