Job summary

Administration régionale Kativik (ARK) seeks a dedicated Coordinator: Logistics and Operations to oversee all logistics and operations across the ARK, based in Kuujjuaq. JOB OPPORTUNITY

The Kativik Regional Government (KRG), a supra municipal body with jurisdiction over the territory located north of the 55th parallel, is now looking for a self-motivated and dynamic individual interested in joining the KRG to work in the capacity of:

COORDINATOR: LOGISTICS AND OPERATIONS (Permanent, Full Time)

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Supply Chain and Logistics of the KRG Administration Department, the Coordinator of Logistics and Operations is responsible for coordinating all activities and functions related to KRG logistics and operations.

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise all functions such as KRG Main Office receptionists, custodial requirements, maintain accurate stock levels of office type supplies, including overseeing storage of supplies and management of day-to-day logistical duties
  • Supervise employees and identify priorities, schedules work plans and follow-up on the delivery of services
  • Ensure total compliance of logistics and operations with safety standards and management best practices
  • Working closely with the Coordinator of Asset Management, ensure the proper and timely completion of operational work order requests, including, but not limited to, housing and office inventories and disposal of KRG assets
  • Working closely with the Administration Department’s Logistics Technician, ensure timely delivery of KRG goods and materials to the northern villages either by air cargo or annual sealift resupply
  • Assist in the annual budget processes related to logistics and operational type expenses, control spending and set performance goals
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, formulate best practices and implement changes for better efficiency and quality in compliance with KRG’s processes and procedures
  • Work closely with the Assistant Director of Supply Chain and Logistics to manage documentation associated with producing reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Work in close collaboration with other departments to achieve common tasks
  • Other related tasks as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a post-secondary program in Operation Management, Logistics or equivalent field. Equivalent work experience and education will be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a logistics and operational type of environment including employee supervision
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory control methods, best practices and procedures required
  • Proven experience in team leadership with attention to quality of service provided
  • Proven ability to delegate
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Ability to adapt to new software is a must
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be willing to travel frequently in the 14 communities in Nunavik
  • Written and oral working knowledge of at least two (2) of the following languages: Inuktitut, English and French

COORDONNATRICE OU COORDONNATEUR : LOGISTIQUE ET OPÉRATIONS (Poste permanent à temps plein)

Relevant du directeur adjoint de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et de la logistique du Service de l’administration, la coordonnatrice ou le coordonnateur de la logistique et des opérations est responsable de coordonner l’ensemble des activités et des fonctions liées à la logistique et aux opérations de l’ARK.

  • Planifier, coordonner et superviser les activités liées au personnel de l’accueil du bureau principal de l’ARK, aux services d’entretien ménager, au maintien de stocks adéquats de fournitures de bureau, y compris leur entreposage, ainsi qu’à la gestion des activités logistiques quotidiennes.
  • Superviser le personnel et déterminer les priorités, établir les plans et échéanciers de travail et assurer le suivi sur la prestation de services.
  • Assurer la pleine conformité de la logistique et des opérations aux normes de sécurité et aux pratiques exemplaires en matière de gestion.
  • En étroite collaboration avec le coordonnateur de la gestion des biens, veiller au traitement adéquat et en temps opportun des ordres de travail opérationnels, notamment en ce qui concerne les inventaires des logements et des bureaux, ainsi que l’aliénation des actifs de l’ARK.
  • En étroite collaboration avec le technicien en logistique du Service de l’administration, veiller à la livraison, dans les délais prévus, des biens et du matériel de l’ARK vers les villages nordiques, par fret aérien ou dans le cadre de la desserte maritime annuelle.
  • Participer au processus annuel de préparation du budget relativement aux dépenses liées à la logistique et aux opérations, assurer le contrôle des dépenses et établir des objectifs de rendement.
  • Déterminer des possibilités d’amélioration, formuler des pratiques exemplaires et mettre en œuvre des changements pour assurer une efficacité et une qualité accrues en conformité avec les processus et les procédures de l’ARK.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec le directeur adjoint de la chaîne d’approvisionnement et de la logistique en vue de gérer la documentation associée à la production de rapports quotidiens, hebdomadaires et mensuels.
  • Collaborer avec d’autres services pour atteindre des objectifs communs.
  • Réaliser toute autre tâche connexe, au besoin.
QUALIFICATIONS :
  • Diplôme d’études postsecondaires en gestion des opérations, en logistique ou dans un domaine connexe. Toute combinaison équivalente de formation et d’expérience sera prise en considération.
  • Minimum de cinq (5) années d’expérience pertinente dans un environnement de logistique et d’opérations, y compris en supervision de personnel.
  • Bonne connaissance des méthodes, des pratiques exemplaires et des procédures de gestion des stocks.
  • Expérience démontrée dans le leadership d’équipe en portant une attention particulière à la qualité des services fournis.
  • Capacité démontrée à déléguer efficacement.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en relations interpersonnelles, en communication et en service à la clientèle.
  • Capacité à établir et à maintenir des relations positives avec un large éventail de partenaires internes et externes.
  • Connaissance pratique de Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
