Job summary

Shared Health in Winnipeg is seeking a Coordinator for Investigations & Staff Development. The role focuses on supervising security operations within Patrol Security Services 1 and developing training programs to enhance staff capabilities.

The successful candidate will have five years of supervisory security experience, complete security-related courses, and be eligible for Special Constable appointment. A strong knowledge of computer systems and camera operations is desired.

Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient- centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Experience
  • Five years previous experience in Police/Security field, at the supervisory level.
  • Completion of Security related courses required.
  • Prior experience in the development and communication of training programs required.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
  • Bachelor degree in Administration, Criminology or other relevant discipline preferred.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
  • Must be eligible for "Special Constable" appointment through the Provincial Attorney General's Department.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
  • Demonstrated investigation skills required.
  • Must have or be able to acquire within a reasonable period of time a thorough knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions and regulations applicable to the area of supervision.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office applications, analog/digital/IP camera operations and Perspective 2000 data collection program functions.

This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
