Alberta Health Services is seeking a Project Coordinator to facilitate IT Facility projects through the PM lifecycle. You will lead coordination for multiple small to medium projects, work with external vendors, and document requirements and action items with stakeholders.
Based at CN Tower, this Regular Full Time role requires occasional onsite attendance at healthcare facilities, with a focus on meeting documentation, resource coordination, and maintaining project libraries such as SharePoint.
Reporting to the Manager - North Region, the Project Coordinator is responsible to facilitate project tasks within IT Facility projects through the project management life cycle. Leads, co-ordinates and monitors small, medium and components of larger IT Facility projects (for large scale projects, incumbent will work under a Senior Project Manager or Project Manager). Coordinates several small projects concurrently, works cohesively with assigned resources to validate project requirements, solicit feedback on best practices and coordinate activities between resource team, project sponsors and user groups. The Project Coordinator role includes: Working directly with external vendors. Facilitating and participating in meetings to assist in documenting action items, user requirements, and issues. Travel to healthcare sites to perform walkthroughs, user group meetings, monitoring of installs, and rollouts required. Monitoring and maintaining resources/materials to support initiatives. Maintaining schedules and monitoring work plans and assignments to ensure delivery within the program/initiative parameters. Gathering user group requirements and build IT equipment lists for approval by Project Managers and stakeholders. Developing and maintain the project's document library including SharePoint and other document repositories to enable the department to store and retrieve project information. Preparing documents for approval by the Project Manager such as Purchase Requisitions, Equipment Requests, Contract Requisitions, Travel Expenses, and others.
As a Coordinator II, you will require advanced or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex projects, procedures, practices or initiatives within a department, program or business unit.
Completion of post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:Post-Secondary Diploma in IT or Project Management. Projects require occasional onsite attendance while staff conduct work functions in all types of health care facilities, including ones under construction.
Preferred Qualifications:Construction knowledge is an asset.
