Job summary

Dollarama seeks an Allocation Coordinator to support the Replenishment team in issuing distribution documents for thousands of items across all Canadian stores. The role includes verifying stock in warehouses and monitoring distribution status to ensure timely replenishment.

You will adjust purchase orders, manage supplier delivery capabilities and delays, and collaborate with shipping and reception to resolve issues based on sales data and seasonality.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Operations, Logistics Management or similar.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar position.
• Experience in the retail industry is an asset.
• Knowledge of SAP is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Adjust the distributions generated by the system for submission to the various warehouses and the distribution center.
• Create purchase orders according to quantities determined by the allocation process.
• Adjust and modify purchase orders according to supplier delivery capabilities.
• Ensure distribution of adequate quantities of certain categories or items to stores according to seasonality from sales data.
• Check the availability of stock in the system to allow adequate distribution.
• Manage delivery delays and order cuts with the supplier and expedite out-of-stock items.
• Analyze reports and coordinate with departments (shipping, reception, etc.).

• Adjust the distributions generated by the system for submission to the various warehouses as well as the distribution center;
• Create purchase orders according to the quantities determined by the allocation process;
• Adjust and modify purchase orders according to the supplier's delivery capabilities;
• Ensure the distribution of adequate quantities of certain categories or items to stores according to the seasonality obtained from sales data;
• Check the availability of stock in the system to allow adequate distribution;
• Manage delivery delays and order cuts with the supplier as well as expedite out-of-stock items; and
• Analyze reports and follow up on serious issues with different departments (shipping, reception, etc).

Job Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Operations, Logistics Management or similar;
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a similar position;
• Experience in the retail industry (an important asset);
• Good organizational skills and thoroughness;
• Strong communication skills;
• Ability to handle multiple requests within tight deadlines; and
• Knowledge of SAP (an asset).
