General Description of the Role:

The role of Project Coordinator is to support our customers from project commencement through to delivery.

Specific Tasks:

  1. Provides ongoing support to inside sales and to reps
  2. Resolves project issues between design firms, sales representatives, and production
  3. Participates actively and regularly in team meetings
  4. Provides accurate reports on the status of projects and proposes solutions to issues
  5. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
  6. Reviews deliverables prepared by the team before passing to the client
  7. Minimizes the company's exposure and risk on projects by delivering on-time solutions, propositions, and ideas
  8. Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  9. Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables
  10. Responsible for the accuracy of data in the system related to POs (purchasing orders)
  11. Defines project tasks and resource requirements
  12. Constantly monitors and reports on project progress to all stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Education: College/University in a technical area is an asset
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in customer service; experience in the lighting industry and/or project management is a definite asset
  • Software: Office, Excel (intermediate/advanced), ERP software (EPICOR)
  • Skills: Knowledge of LED lighting and electrical codes is an asset; basic understanding of electrically wired devices; ability to read floor plans
  • Other: Willingness to learn, embrace ongoing learning, customer focus, strong communication and negotiation skills (verbal and written), good attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, ability to supervise project timelines, work independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Languages: French and English; English is essential for communication and support outside Quebec
