Job summary

Alpine Cafe is seeking a Cook for our Whistler, BC location. Duties include preparing meals, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes with care to meet quality standards. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential, with English fluency required.

Candidate should have at least 2 years of commercial cooking experience and be able to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen. High school completion is required. This role offers 32–40 hours per week and on-site work at 8104 McKeevers Pl, Whistler.

• Must be able to work under minimum supervision and in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to company recipes.
• Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to company recipes using various kitchen equipment.
• Wash, cut, chop and peel ingredients.
• Slice vegetables, meats, and bread products, and portion them appropriately.
• Precook necessary ingredients as well as pre-assemble dishes and ingredients with appropriate portions.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish food.
• Maintain inventory of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Monitor and order supplies as required.
• Ensure all food is prepared fresh and is of the highest quality.
• Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff.
• Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.

Alpine Cafe is seeking a Cook for our location in Whistler, BC.

Working conditions:

• Working location and business address: 8104 McKeevers Pl, Whistler, BC, V8E 1K5, Canada
• 32 - 40 hours per week (early morning, morning, day, weekend, on call);
• Overtimes are paid at 1,5 rate for hours exceeding 40 hours/week or 8 hours/day

As a Cook, you are expected to perform the following duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes according to company recipes.
