Job summary

Aramark is hiring full-time Cooks for the Teraanga Commons Dining Hall on Carleton University campus in Ottawa, Ontario. You will prepare high-quality food, sometimes at action stations, while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include following recipes, leading on the floor, maintaining quality and safety, assisting with inventory, waste control, sanitation, and adhering to Aramark policies. This role offers benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in the Culinary field.
• Experience with basic food preparation and various cooking methods.
• Knowledge of food, sanitization, and health and safety standards.

• Cook food following recipes for a high-volume kitchen.
• Ensure adherence to recipes to meet any dietary requirements.
• Take culinary lead on the floor within the location.
• Ensure consistent quality, preparation, and presentation of food.
• Provide courteous, professional customer service at all times.
• Assist with controlling waste and spoilage.
• Assist with culinary auditing, and food safety measures.
• Assist with weekly inventory.
• Maintain continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area.
• Ensure adherence to all of Aramark Policies and Procedures.
• May perform other job duties as required.
